Web Developer Matt Swasey, who went to the same secondary schools as several other Viget staffers, has loved computers ever since ninth grade when he read a book on programming video games. His formal education on religion and philosophy relates nicely to the open-source ideology that underlies the Ruby on Rails community to which he’s become increasingly engaged over the past few years since finding -- and reading -- Agile Web Development with Rails.
Now, he can’t tear himself away from writing code. Well, sometimes he can, and when he does, he normally can be found plowing through his massive pile of books-to-read or participating in Tibetan Buddhist debate.
